The search for improvements in the paper industry has promoted the use of new raw materials, modifications and additives for its production, this has opened a path for the implementation of nanotechnology using nanocellulose as a promising element in improving its properties. The objective of this study was the application of nanofibrillar cellulose (NFC) from bamboo stems, of the Guadua angustifolia Kunth species, as an additive in three types of paper made with: virgin bamboo fiber, recycled DKL fibers and the mixture from both. In order to evaluate the behavior of the physical and mechanical properties of the papers. The CNF was obtained by applying a chemical pretreatment with the TEMPO oxidant and a mechanical treatment with a homogenizer at 25,000 RPM. The CNF was added during the elaboration of the paper in the concentrations of 0, 2, 4 and 6% for each type. The research design was factorial and the data were reviewed using an analysis of variance and nonparametric tests for multiple comparisons, Kruskal-Wallis and Median.
