The purpose of this research is to develop a proposal for a solid waste management plan in a retail manufacturing company in the textile sector. This research is made up of an analysis of all industrial processes, review of current solid waste management, characterization of solid waste; and the identification and evaluation of the environmental impacts generated by the company. The solid waste management proposals were presented after analyzing all the information collected. The evaluation of the current solid waste management determined that the processes of segregation, storage, valorization, transportation, treatment and final disposal are carried out in a correct way in technical terms and in accordance with current legal regulations. The characterization study carried out for a period of 12 days was performed according to the statistical methodology proposed by the Panamerican Health Organization. One of the most important results was to determine the average daily generation of 81.56 Kg / day of solid waste, it was also possible to establish that the Flexography and Colormax areas are the areas with the highest generation of waste. Finally, it was determined that satin fabrics from the Colormax area is the waste with the highest daily generation, making up 18% of the total. The complementary evaluation identified 15 environmental impacts generated during the operation stage. Each of the impacts were classified as irrelevant due to the characteristics of the industrial processes and environmental controls developed by the company. At the end of the investigation, proposals were presented for each of the solid waste management processes. The main alternatives are minimization of solid waste through improvements in printing programming, change of machinery, better quality control, change of dangerous products for more sustainable products, use of recyclable waste; and coprocessing of solid waste.
