The main objective of this work is modeling and analyzing the behavior of meteorological and hydrological droughts in the main basins of the Peruvian high plateau, for which three methods were used: Standardized Precipitation Method (SPI), Run method and method of extreme values. In the standardized precipitation method (SPI); average monthly rainfall of 59 years was used, being previously adjusted to the theoretical function Gamma, this method was applied, for a time scale of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months, where the scales (1 month, 3 months and 6 months) was used to analyze meteorological droughts, and the scales of 9 and 12 months, allowed the analysis of hydrological droughts. With the Run method, hydrological droughts were analyzed exclusively, where the truncation level was first determined, which for this case was decided to be the average supply (Xt), it was also possible to generate a series of future flows using the model developed. Extreme value method, with this method, we analyzed the minimum flows (demand) of the basins under study, which corresponds to hydrological droughts, the analyzed flow covers all the values that are below the average of the supply series (Xt), where it was possible to determine the probability of occurrence and the return period of the minimum events.
