Maize field experiments, including deficit and full irrigation, were performed in La Molina, Lima - Perú and were used to assess water stress impacts on yields using the AquaCrop model. The model was assessed after its parameterization using field observations relative to crop evapotranspiration, biomass, canopy cover and final yield data measured during november 2013 to april 2014. Results showed Nash-Sutcliffe (E) values between 0.81 to 0.96. In order to evaluate the future yield, SENAMHI performed the statistical downscaling of six climate change scenarios for the year 2030-2050, which contain climate information such temperature, precipitation and greenhouse gases concentrations defined in the framework of the fifth phase of the project comparing coupled models (CMIP5). With this future climate data, future yield of maize for La Molina district was assessed, noticing that in order to avoid water stress, a sheet of irrigation in the range of 1200 - 1500 m3/ha would be needed.
