The present monograph studies the Methodological Description of the Model of Structural Equations with the Method of Estimation of Partial Least Squares. In the first chapter the theoretical support of the Structural Equation Model is described in detail; Chapter 2 describes the Partial Least Squares Method (PLS); In Chapter 3 the Methodology is described, detailing the steps of the Structural Equation Model by the Partial Least Squares Method and in Chapter 4 the Application is observed, step by step in a case to exemplify the methodology. The structural equation models were concluded. SEM is an extension of the multiple regression, this technique is applied to find relations between observable and unobservable variables called (latent) to later pass to estimate the parameters. it has as its objective the prediction, it is not necessary that the data come from a normal distribution and it can be applied to studies of small samples, it allows to estimate very complex models with many latent and measurable variables. In the application of the methodological description, an empirical study was conducted in the second semester of 2013 on a sample corresponding to 300 Chilean university students with access to scientific databases. The WarpPLS 4.0 software was used for the PLS calculations. The results of the example in the PLS analysis of the case indicated the good predictive capacity of the research model, and in turn, the explanation of the analysis was able to clearly exemplify the proposed methodology.
