The main objective of the professional proficiency project “Hydraulic design of drip irrigation and microsprinkling for mandarin cultivation on the central coast of Peru“ is the development of hydraulic calculations for two pressurized irrigation systems for mandarin cultivation, where The design proposal that is presented for each case will depend on the economic factors, the conditions of the land and cultivation, the activities of the farmer within the property and its extension, in order to obtain efficient irrigation. The recognition of the property and the direct conversation with the person in charge of the land to make the value proposal is of the utmost importance since with this information the irrigation emitter will be chosen, then the hydraulic calculations for the project will be carried out, to determine the flow rates per shift and load losses, which will define the diameter of the pipe and the metering of accessories to be installed in the irrigation system. All this analysis is carried out in the Excel spreadsheet where formulas based on theoretical principles will be used, in order to choose the correct pump. It is concluded that the power of the pump for the San Miguel farm is 50 HP (drip) and for the 4-hectare farm it is 5.5 HP (micro-sprinkler). And as a final element, the value proposition for each one will be provided.
