Organic bananas are one of the most important fruits in the economy of small, medium and large producers in the Piura region, and more specifically in the Chira valley. It is the third fruit of greater production, commercialization and exportation, after mango and grapes, in the region (BCRP 2017). The main objective of the research is to evaluate the competitiveness of organic bananas, to determine the economic and social benefits on producers participating in the sector. The associativity of the banana producers is an important decision, it allows them to access advantages in costs, in taking negotiations with the exporter or with the client abroad. Since, to enter the organic market, it is necessary to comply with a series of quality, regulatory and demand requirements. Therefore, it is more beneficial to access better technologies and technical assistance in associativity, productive yields increase from 27.21TM / ha to 39 TM / ha in national average, as well as decrease the discard of 25% with very low technology to 15 to 5% Discard with a higher technology, improve the commercialization prices of USD $ 5.6 / box of bananas in farm at USD $ 13.40 / box of bananas FOB price., also generates annual work, since banana is a crop that produces all the year. That is why more than 50% of Peruvian exports are destined to Europe and the rest to the US and Asia.
