Currently, most of the forest plantations for timber purposes in Peru are installed by private initiatives. Reforestadora Amazónica S.A., is a private company that has more than 500 ha of Tectona grandis L.f. under his management in the department of Madre de Dios. At the beginning of 2017, the company established a fertilization plan for a lot of 1 year and 13 weeks from the low-quality stratum with diameters less than 5 cm, to improve its growth. The test used a CRD with the objective of evaluating the effect of fertilization on the growth of the plants of the lot mentioned by comparing 4 treatments; 1.-lime (CaCO3) -C, 2.- diammonium phosphate (18-46-0) F, 3.- diammonium phosphate (18-46-0) and lime (CaCO3) - FC, and 4.- a control without application - T. Each treatment consisted of 75 trees distributed in groups of 25 forming a square plot of 5 x 5 individuals at a distance of 3,5 x 3,5 m. From this sample, 9 central individuals were selected per plot to avoid the edge effect and the fertilization was divided into two stages to avoid the loss of input due to the rains. The dependent variables were height growth and diametric growth at neck level, making 2 measurements, the final one 20 weeks into the experiment. The Variance Analysis and Tukey's test at a significance level of α = 0,05 were used as statistical tests. Plants treated only with diammonium phosphate showed an increase in height of 72,9% and 58,7% in diameter at neck level, and those treated with diammonium phosphate and lime showed an increase of 117% and 87,2%, in diameter at neck level, significantly different from the lime and the control treatment.
