It develops the problem on the procedure of the loss events that were found in the Customer Service Area (SPC) and the proposal for its improvement, these activities were carried out in the period from January to September 2019 within the framework of the professional work of the bachelor who prepared this work in the position of senior analyst. Likewise, the place where the review, evaluation and improvement of the procedure was carried out was at Banco de Credito del Peru, the largest bank in Peru and leader in market share with 28.7% as of June 2021 according to a study carried out by Apoyo y Asociados, who also in 2019 were the first financial institution in Latin America to join the ORX (Association for the Exchange of Operational Risk Data), the largest operational risk organization in the world, however, and despite the clear desire to stay at the forefront of risk management, being a company with more than 17,000 employees, being able to replicate the same information in all its areas It has not been possible and even less the management of losses that comes to be the result of the materialization of a risk. The improvement of the procedure was the result of one of the main responsabilities that the senior analyst had, which was the constant evaluation of the operations in the area and their needs, for which an increase in loss events was identified in recent years, which had not been monitored. Given this, the function of modifying the procedure and implementing improvements was delegated, achieving a 30% reduction in area loss events for the third quarter of 2019.
