The present report describes the analysis of the implementation of the super-intensive circular tank system at the Marfrisco shrimp farm. The objective was to reduce the decline in the quality of shrimp seed from laboratories, leading to the proposal to implement superintensive tanks in the pre-nursery stage. This work comprised three fundamental parts. The first addresses topics related to the work carried out, defining diseases that occurred during the production cycle, such as parasitic, bacterial, and viral diseases. It provides a description of the methodology used in shrimp farming. The second part describes the roles performed in the position of technical sub-chief, responsible for both grow-out ponds with stocking densities of twelve to sixteen shrimp per square meter, and as the head of the post-larvae cultivation area in super-intensive tanks. These tanks were stocked with densities of sixteen to forty post-larvae per liter. This section also outlines the problems and solutions encountered during the cultivation stage. The last part presents and describes the results of these systems and their impact on the pre-nurseries and grow-out ponds. The results are analyzed and compared with those obtained in another group of shrimps that did not go through the circular tank system. The findings show relatively similar survival rates but differences in feed conversion and, most importantly, in the final production numbers of the ponds that went through the three-phase model. The work concludes by emphasizing the advantage of implementing a preliminary phase before the traditional two-phase system. This implemented system serves as a good mitigation measure.
