The application of fertilizers has become more relevant in recent times due to its effect on tree growth. The study was carried out in pine plantations located in the hamlet of La Calzada, district of San Juan, Cajamarca, with the objective of evaluating the effect of the initial application of phosphorus and boron on the growth of three pine species at 27 years of age. established. A randomized complete block experimental design with 4 replications was used; being a complete factorial experiment, where P2O5 was factor A and borax was factor B, making a total of 9 treatments. The population consisted of 24 plants per treatment, 216 per repetition and 864 per trial (for each species). The central part was sampled, evaluating the diameters at breast height (DBH) and the total heights. Regarding diameter growth (DAP), Pinus patula with T5: 80 g P2O5/10 g borax (23.6 cm) and Pinus pseudostrobus with T6: 120 g P2O5/10 g (26.46 cm) achieved a higher average compared to the other treatments, although both did not show statistical differences. However, there was statistical significance among the boron doses for Pinus radiata, with the 5 g borax dose being superior. In relation to height growth, Pinus patula obtained a higher average height (15.80 m) with T6: 120 g P2O5/10 g borax, despite not showing statistical significance. Additionally, Pinus pseudostrobus showed significant differences among the boron doses, with the 10 g borax dose being statistically superior. Finally, the average height of Pinus radiata with T1: 40 g P2O5/5 g borax was statistically superior to the other treatments.
