The present investigation evaluated the effects that the adoption of the technological package delivered by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP) had on the quality of life of small banana producers in El Carmen, Ecuador. The objective of the research was to analyze the influence of the degree of adoption of the technological package on the quality of life of small banana producers in the canton of El Carmen, Ecuador. Information was collected by applying a survey to two associations. The first association is called Centro Agrícola and has 107 members, participated in the MAGAP talks and delivery of the technological package inputs. The second one is called Las Palmas, has 93 members, but has not received the talks or inputs from MAGAP. The use of correlation matrix and analysis of variance was proposed to determine the significant differences between the variables. Among the conclusions, it was determined that the degree of adoption of the technological package did not generate a significant difference in the quality of life of the banana producers of the different associations, and that the level of adoption in the two associations was low. Vulnerability of small producers is evident cope with the changes in prices and industrialization of banana production.
