The present investigation takes as a target to determine the elastic deformation and the elasticity module in clays normally consolidated when on them a specific punctual load is exercised. In order to be able to calculate the modulus of elasticity tests of unidimensional consolidation were made in the laboratory, following the Peruvian Technical Norm NTP - 339,154, for which the ground with a content of equal humidity to the liquid limit was saturated. For practical reasons the essay began with an overload of 0,1 kg/cm2 , and thus progressively increasing charges up to 4 kg/cm2 . In the loads of 1 kg/cm2 , 2 kg/cm2 and 4 kg/cm2 , were made cycles of load and unloading until obtaining a line of hysteresis. As of on the hysteresis line it does a artifice to itself in that this one moves towards the origin of the curve of load and discharges, and with this does a vertical projection towards the line relation of empty initial. The module of elasticity is obtained from the tangent of the angle formed by the line of hysteresis, when it is moved to the origin of load and unloading, and the line of relation of emptinesses (e0). At present it has in the bibliography value of the Module of Elasticity with ranks very wide, which does not offer a lot of information about the physical properties of the soil, thus this investigation treats to reduce said ranks so that in the practice when analysing a clay can identify his characteristics of fast and simple way.
