The general objective of the research project is to determine the future scenarios of the availability of water resources for the integral lagoon system with the impact of climate change, for which a current and future water availability scenario was determined, it was determined according to the “Change Climate, called Climate Scenarios. Faced with this problem, it is proposed to carry out a hydrological planning and / or modeling based on the availability of regulated water resources from the Cabanillas river basin. There are hydrological models with tools that can help planning, however the WEAP model has advantages of other models because it integrates the offers with water demands in relation to the management of the resource and in addition to its ability to work on future scenarios, such as the climate change scenario, which would allow knowing the behavior of the basins under study. The average annual variation obtained positive results in all scenarios. For the near future period; the scenario with the smallest variation with 17 percent is CNR 4.5, this value represents a non-significant change, and the one with the greatest variation with 99 percent is CAN 4.5, which is an extreme change. The seasonal average variation also obtained positive results in all the scenarios, it should be noted that, in the summer, the change is not significant and, winter and spring, the change is from significant to extreme. The monthly average variation presents more detailed variation results. The CNRM-CM5 model presents eight months with negative variation, five near future and three far away; the CANESM2 model presents seven months with negative variation, four with a near future and three with a distant one; and the MPI-ES-MR model presents a single case of negative variation with the monthly average of March in the future period. Regarding the determination of the hydrological capacity of the basin under study, they were obtained with the information of flows generated for the historical information of rainfall in the sub-basins of Rio Verde and Rio Cerrillos (Lagunillas) and the potential demand that comes to constitute in the maximum demand that could be covered by regulating the water in each of these sub-basins, from which it is observed that for the same flow of demand greater volumes of the flows generated under the effect of Climate Change are obtained than the flows with historical information of the sub-basins of the river Cerrillos and Rio Verde.
