The dissipation of five pesticides (Fenpropathrin, Iprodione, Pyrimethanil, Spirodiclofen and Tebufenpyrad) in Satsuma Owari mandarin fruits was studied in two agroclimatic zones of Peru (Cañete and Sta. Rosa-Huaura). A single application was carried out, according to the instructions on the label of each formulated product, using tractor pulverizers previously calibrated. The experimental data were used to establish a mathematical model of degradation as a function of time. The results show a first-order dissipation kinetics in the five pesticides. Under the agroclimatic conditions, application techniques used and the lowest values of Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) reported by international entities, the proposed pre- harvest interval (PHI) for the pesticides Fenpropathrin, Pyrimethanil, Spirodiclofen and Tebufenpyrad were: 5, 1, 5, and 10 days, respectively; in case of Iprodione, the pre- harvest interval was calculated (PHI > 108 days) because the residues were greater than the MRL reported for this pesticide. The half- lives of the pesticides estimated for two zones studied were Fenpropathrin: 23.1 and 14.7 days, Iprodione: 7.7 and 21.7 days, Pyrimethanil: 48.8 and 23.7 days, Spirodiclofen: 14.5 and 15.3 days and Tebufenpyrad: 24.5 and 17.7 days, respectively.
