The present professional sufficiency work, aims to be a proposal for improvement regarding the conservation and protection measures of public green areas throughout all stages of a construction project in the city of Lima Metropolitana. For this purpose, an analysis was conducted on the current situation of construction projects in public green areas in the Lima metrópolis, with the purpose of understanding the current context and the issues related to the conservation of its vegetation. Given that poor practices in these types of interventions cause damage to plant species and soil, a series of methodologies is proposed to determine the degree of impact on each component of public green areas (urban trees, low and mediumsized plants, ground cover, soil, etc.). The methodologies described in this work, will serve to take preventive and immediate mitigation measures against the negative impact of construction activities on green areas at both ground and air levels. These measures are detailed in the Green Areas Conservation and Protection Plan, for each stage of a construction project (planning, design, pre-construction, construction and postconstruction); with the aim of ensuring a high level of efficiency in the care of green spaces. Furthermore, these protocols for supervising construction projects in public green areas will serve to improve municipal public management. Finally, the analysis of a basic services project in public green areas is presented, where it is evident that non-compliance with protection measures for urban vegetation causes short and long-term damages, with the tree component being the most affected.
