The main purpose of this thesis is to identify marketing channels towards honey bee and determine the interrelation between agents that belong to the chain of marketing to evaluate the profitability of the beekeeping; analyzing strengths and weaknesses faced by many beekeepers. The place of study was Tongorrape Locality, located in the Motupe District in the Province of Lambayeque, where the production of conventional honey bee is led by a small group of beekeepers and the production of organic honey bee is led by the ASPROBOS organization. The used methods were surveys directed to 38 beekeepers of Tongorrape, focus group and an interview with the ASPROBOS's President. This organization is focused in the production of organic honey bee. The recognition of the chain's agents let to establish the local, regional and national sale and purchase prices, with the purpose to establish gross and net margin into the trade of honey bee. Besides that, economic costs were analyzed to evaluate the profit capacity of both kinds of honey bee (organic and conventional). From the economic perspective, the final results indicated that the production of organic honey bee is more profitable when it is distributed regional and nationally; however, there are some deficiencies in the process of costs that avoid the control of productive and trade process. Finally, the evidence shows that the process of marketing of conventional honey bee is inefficient due to inadequate infrastructure to offer the beekeeping product; affecting, most of all to beekeepers that don’t have any associativity. The result is that beekeepers leave the beekeeping business for other activities.
