The general objective of this study was to generate a geospatial model to determine the best agroecological and economically suitable zones for the main agro-export crops in the Piura hydrographic unit. Using a Geographic Information System (GIS) as a base, and where the biophysical requirements of the crops are considered, with the purpose of obtaining optimal agroecological and socioeconomic zones for each crop. For the elaboration of the economic agroecological zoning, an FAO agroecological zoning methodology was followed, where different layers of spatial information are superimposed, in order to define zones with a certain level of aptitude. The data used were collected from different government sources such as SENAMHI, the Ministry of Agriculture, the regional government of Piura, etc. The combination and analysis of these data made it possible to establish the most optimal areas for each crop, quite close to reality. As part of the process, a Cartographic Model was developed with the ArcGis Model Builder tool, where it simplifies, automates and optimizes the work of preparing the agroecological and economic zoning of each crop in this study. In the end, the optimal areas for the production of paprika pepper, lemon, mango, passion fruit and grape crops were established. In addition to the previous analysis, it was established that there are 21,284.9 ha for paprika chili, 9,501.9 ha for lemon, 4,868.3 ha for mango, 16,577.1 ha for passion fruit and 7,450.9 ha for grapes.
