The economic impact of labor productivity, measured through absenteeism and presenteeism, is estimated through a structured survey applied to 1215 workers from nine agroindustrial companies in the Lambayeque Region. 59.8% manifests labor presentism in agroindustrial companies and 56.8% shows absenteeism. As a result, the lost labor productivity of the nine agro-industrial companies of the Lambayeque Region, due to absenteeism and presenteeism, amounts to 27 days of work per year, of which 18 days are for absenteeism and 9 days for presenteeism. Therefore, they lose 91,438 days a year due to presenteeism and absenteeism of workers, which is equivalent to 317 workers working full time per year. Therefore, the agroindustrial companies would be assuming an economic loss of US $ 1,092,450 a year, of which US $ 721,505 are for absenteeism and US $ 370,944 are for presenteeism.
