Objective: determine the relationship between knowledge and practices of tuberculosis preventive measures in nursing students at a private university, San Juan Lurigancho 2023. Materials and methods: quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The sample was made up of 86 nursing interns from a private university located in San Juan de Lurigancho. The instruments were two validated and reliable questionnaires. Results: the average age of the students was 29.02 years. Regarding sex, 62.2% (n=57) were female, 60.4% (n=52) were single. 47.67% (n=41) of students obtained medium knowledge, followed by 37.21% (n=32) high and 15.12% (n=13) low. 72.09%(n=62) of students had adequate preventive practices on tuberculosis, followed by 27.91%(n=24) inadequate practices. A Chi square value of 40.140 was obtained with its p value = 0.000 being less than 0.05, therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, which tells us that there is a relationship between the variables. Conclusions: there is a relationship between the knowledge and practices of tuberculosis preventive measures in nursing students at a private university, San Juan Lurigancho 2023.
