Abstract: Objetivo: determinar la calidad de vida en ancianos que residen en una zona urbano marginal en Ancón, 2023.
Materiales y métodos: se asumió el enfoque cuantitativo y el diseño fue descriptivo-transversal. Se contó con una muestra de 96 ancianos. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta y fue empleado el cuestionario WHOQOL-OLD, que está comprendido por 24 ítems y 6 dimensiones.
Resultados: en calidad de vida, prevaleció el nivel medianamente bueno con 74 % (n=71), seguido de mala con 13,5% (n=13) y buena 12,5% (n=12). Según sus dimensiones, en capacidad sensorial prevaleció el nivel medianamente bueno con 75% (n=72), en autonomía valor medianamente bueno con 62,5% (n=60), en actividades pasadas, presentes y futuras valor bueno con 51% (n=49), en participación social un valor promedio con 63,5% (n=61); en muerte/agonía un valor medianamente bueno con 63,5% (n=61) y en intimidad un valor bueno con 62,5% (n=60).
Conclusiones: en cuanto a la calidad de vida, fue más frecuente el valor medianamente bueno, seguido de mala y buena.
