Objective: to determine knowledge, attitudes and practices on the contamination of personal protective equipment related to coronavirus disease, among adults, El Agustino, october 2022. Materials and methods: observational design and quantitative approach. A cross-sectional study using a three-section questionnaire was used to collect data from 200 participants. The statistical package for social sciences version 25.0 was used to analyse the data. Descriptive statistical results were presented as percentages and frequency tables for categorical data. Statistical significance was p < 0.05 for all tests. Results: the study showed a moderate level of knowledge of the participants of 51.5%, 41.5% presented high level and 7% low level. The positive attitude was 61.0%, 36.5% acceptable attitude and 2.5% negative attitude. They presented acceptable practices to 56.5%, 38.5% presented good practices and 5.0% bad practices on contamination derived from personal protective equipment against the coronavirus. Conclusions: The study revealed that participants had a moderate level of knowledge, positive attitude and acceptable practices about the contamination of personal protective equipment related to coronavirus disease.
