Objective: to analyze the level of psychological well-being of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated at the Ancón Maternal and Child Center in Lima, during the period 2023. Materials and methods: quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The sample was made up of 243 elderly patients with type II diabetes mellitus nursing at the Ancón Maternal and Child Center. The instrument used was the Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale. Results: The average age of the patients was 56.32 years. Regarding sex, 59.3% (n=144) were female, 59.7% (n=145) were married. 38.68% (n=94) of patients experienced a medium level of psychological well-being. Regarding the self-acceptance dimension, 37.86% (n=92) of the participants experienced having a low level. Regarding the positive relationships dimension, a low level was observed in 36.21% (n=88). Regarding the autonomy dimension, 42.39% (n=103) highlight that it is a medium level. Regarding the dimension mastery of the environment, in 39.51% (n=96) a medium level of mastery of the environment is evident. Regarding the personal growth dimension, a medium level stands out in 39.09% (n=95). Regarding the life purpose dimension, 42.39% (n=103) showed a medium level. Conclusions: regarding the level of psychological well-being, patients experienced a medium level of psychological well-being; followed by a low level of psychological well-being, and a high level of psychological well-being.
