The objective of this research was to determine the social, economic and attitudinal factors that influence adherence to antibiotic therapy in the residents of the A.A.H.H. Juan Pablo II, district of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima,2023. The research study is quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional. The social factor is an important element in the adherence to antibiotic therapy, a high percentage was obtained in relation to the environment that provides emotional support to comply with their treatment, 72.1% are the parents who provide emotional support and only 10.9% responded others, while the low percentage was the work environment that influences the indicated treatment, 36.8% almost never and only 9.5% never influence the treatment. In relation to the economic factor, the high percentage was in the housing condition, 77.1% own their own house and only 8.5% live in a borrowed house, while the low percentage was the monthly income covers basic needs, 33.3% almost never meet basic needs and only 15.9% responded sometimes. In relation to attitude, the high percentage was in the aspects for the purchase of antibiotics, 75.1% mentioned that the price is an important aspect in the purchase of antibiotics and only 7.5% detailed that it depends on the laboratory. It is concluded that the health personnel's attention to the users generates the lack of adherence to the treatment since it has been shown that a large part of them (60.2%) have doubts about the treatment after of an appointment with the physician.
