The general objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the in vitro antibacterial effect of 5% sodium hypochlorite, 5% chlorhexidine and ozonized water against Enterococcus faecalis, Cusco, 2021. The population consisted of 42 Petri dishes, which were divided 9 Petri dishes for each irrigating solution and 6 Petri dishes for the control group. Irrigating solutions of 5% NaCLO, 5% Chlorhexidine and ozonated water were placed, where 4 discs were placed in each Petri dish. The research was quasi-experimental in vitro, prospective, and longitudinal because three measurements were made at different times (24, 48 and 72 hours). The results in mm of the diameter of the inhibition halo of the irrigants NaCLO 5%, Chlorhexidine 5% and ozonated water were: 29.53 mm at 24 hours, 29.89 mm at 48 hours and 30.72 mm at 72 hours ; Regarding the Duraffourd scale, the antibacterial effect was highly sensitive (+++) for 5% NaCLO, 22.94 mm at 24 hours, 23.69 mm at 48 hours and 19.67 mm at 72 hours for 5% Chlorhexidine , showing a highly sensitive antibacterial effect (+++) in 24 and 48 hours, and a very sensitive effect (++) for 72 hours according to the Duraffourd scale, and for ozonated water, inhibition halos of 9.31 mm at 24 hours, 9.67 mm at 48 hours and 10 mm at 72 hours, showing null (-) and sensitive (+) results in all time ranges. It is concluded that 5% NaCLO and 5% Chlorhexidine showed greater antibacterial effectiveness against E. faecalis while ozonated water had less antimicrobial effectiveness.
