Sustainable means of transport are becoming more relevant nowadays, due to the high costs associated with the use of gasoline vehicles, chaotic vehicular traffic and a growing concern for the environment. Facing that, what alternatives exist? The electric bicycle was found to be one of the most efficient options. However, these are usually expensive, which is why the concept developed in this study emerged: a rim that contains, in a central casing, a device that generates and stores electrical energy, transforming a conventional bicycle into a sustainable one. The general objective is to determine the economic, technical and social viability of the project, developing a profitable and technologically applicable product. The lifetime of the project is five years and the plant will be built in the district of Villa el Salvador. The product is aimed at socioeconomic levels A and B of Metropolitan Lima, for young people and adults between 18 and 55 years. The commercial name will be G-Wheel, short for “Green Wheel”. In terms of packaging, the product will be distributed in a protective case made from sugar cane, inside a recycled cardboard box. It is essential and coherent with the brand's concept to use eco-friendly materials that are not single-use or generate significant solid waste. The price will be S/ 999. The number of operators was obtained from the calculation of the cycle time, guaranteeing to satisfy the demand of the project: 2 193 units (the last year). Likewise, the productive resources and the available technology do not limit the size of the industrial plant. A total investment of S/ 503 224 is required and the economic and financial evaluation confirms the viability of the project, recovering the investment throughout the third year.
