The main objective of this research project is to determine the technological, economic, financial, market and social feasibility for the installation of a compostable pellet plant made from potatoes (Solanum Tuberosum). The demand study was carried out based on an analysis of historical import data obtained from Veritrade. In the study of the main companies that import low-density polyethylene in primary forms, only telephones that are also dedicated to the manufacture of flexible packaging are considered. The project demand projected for 2026 is 1 407 195 kilograms of compostable pellets. For the evaluation of plant location, various factors were taken into account. After a careful review, the three main departments were Lima, La Libertad and Piura. In the macro location is to install the plant in Lima. Ate Vitarte was chosen for the micro location due to multiple factors that the company will need in the future. The maximum production size of the plant will be determined to be 1 407 195 kilograms per year. Based on the break-even point, it was determined what will be produced and sold a minimum of 301 200 kilograms per year in order to see profits. The production process has 14 stages and the one identified as the bottleneck is the final one: Pelletizing. A total area of 420 m2 was determined for the plant. The total investment of the project was determined in S /. 5,622,470. A shareholder contribution of 70% was chosen and the rest were paid by means of a bank loan. The results of the economic analysis were favorable, they obtained an IRR of 42.95 %, a NPV of S /. 4,324,435 and the B / C ratio was 1.77. For the financial evaluation the results were equally favorable, an IRR of 53.33 % was obtained, a NPV of S /. 4,635,613 and the B / C ratio was 2.17. Finally, after careful analysis of the results obtained, we can confirm with the hypothesis that the project is viable.
