The main objective of this project is to determine the commercial, technical, economic and social viability for the implementation of a plant that produces green tea bags with dehydrated berries. The product of the project consists of a box of 20 sachets of green tea accompanied by pieces of dehydrated strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. It will be marketed under the “Fruitealina” brand and will be distributed through the Wong, Metro, Tottus, Plaza Vea and Vivanda supermarkets. The product is aimed at the population of Lima Metropolitana belonging to sectors A and B between 18 to 75 years old. A demand of 4 331 master boxes of green tea with berries is estimated for the year 2025. The sale value to distributors (supermarkets) was set at S/15,25 and S/24 as a price for final consumers considering a profit margin of 25 % for distributors. The plant will be located in Chilca and will have an area of 510m2 with a production capacity of 4 742 boxes per year. It will work 6 days a week in 1 shifts per day and will have 20 production workers and 7 administrative and sales employees. The total investment of the project amounts to S/ 600 214, which will be financed 35% by Banco de Crédito del Perú with an effective rate of 14,57% at constant installments, without grace periods and for five years. The rest will be financed by the capital stock. The financial evaluation showed an economic NPV of S/281 695 and an economic IRR of 32,26%; a financial NPV of S/ 325 699 and a financial IRR of 38,20% considering a COK of 20%. These results prove that this project is viable and profitable for both scenarios.
