The present work of professional sufficiency proposes a didactic programming for the development of mathematical problem-solving competencies for the second grade of primary education; it considers the Sociocognitive Humanist Paradigm, which focuses on learning to learn through a set of cognitive processes which are concretized in capacities, skills, values and attitudes. In this sense, the first chapter presents the diagnosis of the college, the general and specific objectives, and the scientific justification or novelty. The second chapter develops in depth cognitive and sociocontextual theories that underpin the aforementioned educational paradigm, supported by five recognized authors; it also develops theories of intelligence, the basis of Sociocognitive Humanist Paradigm, and defines the nature, methodology, and evaluation of this paradigm. Finally, in the third chapter, curricular programming is developed in a general and specific manner, considering the theories mentioned above that have been put into pedagogical practice. Thus, a concrete and complete proposal is presented to develop the competencies of students in the second grade of primary education in the area of Mathematics.
