The present work has for application of prefeasibility study for the installation of a production plant of a cultivation kit of Pleurotus Ostreatus from filter coffee residues already used. Therefore, the technical, economic, financial, social and market viability in the metropolitan Lima region will be evaluated. The project aims to offer an alternative different from the traditional offer that markets packaged mushrooms. Likewise, our project contributes to the reuse of organic waste generated in Lima, since it is made up of coffee, making the most of this resource, which is increasingly consumed in Peru. The production plant has an installed capacity of 206 409 kits, with an area of 408m². The location is located in the department of Lima in the San Juan de Miraflores district. Taking into account that within the plant the production of mycelium will be developed. The elaboration of the kit begins with the collection of the filter coffee as raw material, to later form a mixture with the oat straw and finally the incubation of the mycelium and the assembly of the kit. Each kit weighs 1,5 Kg. Our project requires a total investment of S/ 1 033 877,26; 40% financed through a bank with a TEA of 32% and 60% contributed by shareholders. The projected 5-year project presents a financial NPV of S/ 1 203 321,70 and a financial IRR of 50,13% of a recovery period of 3 years 9 months and 26 days and a cost benefit ratio 2,94.
