The following pre-feasibility study aims to analyze the commercial, technical, economic, and financial feasibility of installing a bamboo toothbrush-producing plant in the city of Lima, which contributes to a positive environmental and social impact on the country. The project arises from the problem generated by plastic pollution, near 99% of plastic is not recycle in Perú, and seeks to replace plastic brushes with bamboo brushes that reduce environmental pollution and have a differentiating factor that generates added value. In order to find the target audience, the geographic area with the highest commercial density in Peru was identified and, taking into account the possible price of the product and its attributes, the population of Lima was segmented by a socio-economic level, age and habits of recycling. Surveys carried to the target audience (a total of 384 surveys) determined the intention and intensity of purchasing the product. The annual consumption per capita in Peru of 1.64 brushes was used to find the project´s annual demand. Through the use of engineering tools, the annual production plan was carried out, determining the machinery to be used and the plant layout of the facility. The project is then evaluated economically and financially using a IRR of 43% and a VNA of S/. 489,507, in addition to financial ratios. Finally, the investigation will be concluded with a social evaluation of the project using the data of the total investment required, the average cost of capital of 16.67%, and others obtained from the economic and financial evaluation.
