The pre-feasibility study´s objective is to determine the market, technological and financial viability, in order to set up an industrial plant for organic coffee filter bags ready to drink (Coffea Arabica). A survey was carried out to consumers of socio-economic levels A and B, between 14 and 70 years from Lima. A forecast was made from 2021 to 2025, being the last years demand of finished product, 19 432 boxes (each box contains 40 filtered bags). Regarding the plant’s location, three alternatives were evaluated: Lima, Cañete and Huaura. After the quantitative analysis, it was found that it would be more feasible to locate the plant in Lima (Carmen de la Legua, Callao). The determining factor was its proximity to the main market. Likewise, a plant size was established, in this case is equal to the market size of 13 708 lbs. of coffee in filter bags in the first year of operation and 19 383 in the last one. The break-even point was calculated, determining that, to obtain profits, a minimum of 4 980 lbs. should be produced per year. When analyzing the installed capacity, it was determined that the bottleneck station was the roasting station. In addition, a production program plan was established for all five years, with a monthly production of 115 boxes in the fifth year. Regarding the layout of the plant, a total area of 4 105 ft2 was determined, considering the production and administrative areas. The investment required for this project is S/ 432 472; 60% being a contribution from investors and 40% financed by a bank. This investment has a financial IRR of 36% and returns an NPV of S/ 301 649 in 5 years. The investment recovery period would be 4 years, 1 month; obtaining S/ 2,16 for each S/ 1 invested.
