The objective of this study is to prove the technical, social and economic feasibility for the implementation of a dehydrated meat beef jerky type processing plant in Lima department. The market research uses primary sources, that’s why it applies a survey to 70 people from the socioeconomic sector A and B in order to verify the purchase intention of the product. It also has secondary sources such as approved theses and market studies from different countries. The most important variables in consideration to select the location for the plant, are: the availability of the raw material, land, and workforce. Considering all the variables previously mentioned, the best location for the project is the district of Lurín. With a 5 year useful life, the project demand calculated was of 558,691 units for 2025, determined by the market size the project is trying to achieve. The limiting factor for the production process is the hot dryer air machine; its production capacity is 111,384 kg/year. The financial results calculated considering a 5-year project life since 2021 with a realistic scenario, were PEN 538,553.00, with a financial recovery period of 4 years with 3 months y 13 days and a financial IRR of 34.2%. The study concludes that the results are the expected, proving the new business feasibility.
