The present study will evaluate economically, technically and the market for the installation of an industrial factory of protein powder made from cricket and mealworms in the city of Lima. It is a novel product in the Peruvian market, which has a higher protein value than other meats and that adjusts to the current reality of the healthy consumer market and the positive trend of environmental care, because the upbringing of raw material, crickets and mealworms, have a lower water footprint than other products such as beef, chicken or fish. A market study was conducted to determine if there is a market for the product, for this a survey was made through which the intensity and intention of the public could be obtained in addition to valuable information on the acceptance of protein powder. Likewise, it was determined by means of a macro and micro location analysis, the most optimal location for the plant according to certain important factors for the project, such as the proximity to the market and suppliers, accessibility to water and electricity, among others, arriving to the conclusion that the best location is the district of Lurín. Finally, the market size was identified as the limiting of the project, and the conclusion of the study is that the project is viable economically and financially according to the key project indicators.
