This project was executed with the objective of determining the viability for the installation of a plant that produces and markets biodegradable powder detergent based on quinoa saponin. At present, the trend in the consumption of eco-friendly products has increased significantly; for this reason, a product was sought whose added value is to contribute to caring for the environment and whose demand is sustainable over time, such as powder detergent. In the product, a highly polluting chemical component has been replaced by an input of natural origin that fulfills the same function in washing, as is the case of quinoa saponin, from quinoa, an abundant seed in Peru. The first chapters detail the general aspects of the research and the product. In addition, the apparent domestic demand, the demand for the project and the potential demand were analyzed. Then, a plant location analysis was made to find the optimal location of the plant, which turned out to be Lurín. In addition, the plant size was identified, which is defined as the capacity that the detergent plant will have. Later, in the Engineering chapter of the project, the production process, the balance of the inputs involved, the inventory policy, the maintenance program and the quality controls and safety are detailed in depth. Additionally, the installed capacity of the production plant and the layout of the plant were determined. In the following chapters, the organizational structure of the company, the investments of the project, the financial flows and the social impact were evaluated.
