The main objective of this pre-feasibility study is to evaluate the technological, financial, economic, market and social feasibility for the implementation of a factory to produce a protein supplement based on pota with glucosamine. The investigated product will have a 350g airtight “Doypack“ packaging presentation and will have the city of Lima as its target market. Said product will be distributed through supermarkets, warehouses and pharmacies and the sale to the final consumer will have a price of S/ 25 per package. The project demand calculated for year 5 (2026) is equivalent to 53 322 kg of finished product or 152 350 packages. To determine the location of the plant, the macro and micro location methods were used, with which it was concluded that the plant will be located in Callao within the Department of Lima. Being the factors that had a greater importance those of availability of raw material and availability of land. The plant capacity will be 69 825 kg/year and the production process consists of the following stages: weighing, gutting, cutting, cooking, drying, grinding, sifting, mixing and packaging. Finally, the required investment is S/ 1 016 599 and 60% of the loan will be financed at an effective annual rate of 15,3% and 40% of its own contribution. The economic evaluation resulted in a VANE of S/ 834 345 and an EIRR of 39%, with a recovery period of 3,84 years. Likewise, the VANF is S/ 953 671, the TIRF is 64% and a recovery period of 2,96 years, which supports the profitability and viability of the project.
