The interest in taking care of personal nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle has been growing steadily in recent years and is expected to continue increasing. Therefore, an opportunity was found within the noodle market; however, in order to differentiate from it, it was decided to use a variety of inputs that provide the consumer with a nutritious diet. For these reasons, a pre-feasibility study was conducted for the implementation of a plant to produce noodles (spaghetti) enriched with tarwi and chia flour, which provide better properties such as increased protein and fiber, among other things. Through the market study, the apparent internal demand for noodles in the Peruvian market was recognized and, applying different segmentation criteria, it was determined that the specific demand of the project results in 843 677 packages of noodles for the 5th year of operation. Through a macro- and micro-location analysis, in which various factors are contrasted, it was determined that the best location for the establishment of the "Profid" noodle plant is in the district of Lurin, located in the department of Lima. After an evaluation to determine the optimal size of the plant, the corresponding value was the same as the market size that was calculated for the specific demand of the project. Likewise, it was determined that the minimum units to be produced in order not to generate losses were 446 577 packages of noodles per year. The project has an estimated investment of 3 602 967,23 soles for the 5-year operating horizon. In addition, the degree of profitability was compared between an economic and financial scenario using the following indicators: NPV, IRR, B/C and Payback Period. The evaluation showed a better profitability through leverage at 42,34% with an effective annual rate of 15,07%.
