equivalente a 4,209 bicicletas.
soldado, imprimado, pintado, curado, enfriado y ensamblado.
El área total calculada es 491.9 m2
.
This preliminary study for the implementation of a folding electric bicycle production plant looks for determine the market, technical, economic and financial viability. The project demand for the first year is 861 bicycles. Due to the cultural change (preference for clean means of transport), being a product that contributes to alleviating the problem of traffic, with social distancing and conservation of the environment, is considered a good acceptance by the target market. Likewise, as result of the surveys carried out, it was obtained that 89% of the people surveyed would be willing to purchase the proposed product and a purchase intensity of 68.1%. It was determined that the plant will be located in Metropolitan Lima, in the Ate district. The size of the plant will be determined by the size-technology ratio equivalent to 4,209 bicycles. The breakeven point would be 817 bikes and the bottleneck would be the painting operation. To determine the production process, an evaluation of costs and complexity was carried out between producing or outsourcing the manufacture of the bicycle frame. Being very specialized activities and with expensive equipment, it would be better to outsource. With the frame manufactured, the activities of quality control, drilling, polishing, welding, priming, painting, heat treatment, cooling and assembly will remain. The total area determined is 491.9 m2. The investment of the project amounts to S /. 528,422.7 and presents a structure of 55% own contribution and 45% financing with the Inter-American Finance Bank for 5 years at a TEA of 11.59%, the rate assigned for loans to SMEs. From the economic and financial evaluation of the project, an economic IRR of 43% is obtained with a recovery period of 3 years and 3 months; and a financial IRR of 57% with a payback period of 2 years and 10 months.
