The general objective of the research work is to determine the viability of the market, technical, social, environmental, and economic for the installation of a plant for the production of biodegradable sanitary towels based on banana bark fiber. Through a market study, the potential demand and the demand for the project will be determined. It will cover the general aspects of the project, such as the problem, the objectives of the research, scope of the research, justification of the project topic, referential framework, and conceptual framework, which will serve as the basis for the investigation and evaluation of the project. The determining factors for the location of the plant will be developed and evaluated through the Factor Ranking methodology. It was found that the optimal department for the location of the production plant is Piura in the district of Sullana. For the production process, the material balance, equipment, machinery, and installed capacity of 2,251,082 packs of 20 units will be taken into account. In the same way, this production process also involves the different technical standards, the quality of the product, the environmental impact of the production, the occupational health and safety of the workers and the maintenance system that is required. The project investment, production costs, materials and labor will be evaluated. Based on this, the operating and financial budgets will be prepared to continue with the economic and financial evaluation, for which a COK of 16.30% will be applied and the analysis will be carried out with ratios or feasibility indicators. Finally, by evaluating and interpreting social indicators, the benefit that society will obtain with this project will be revealed.
