The present research work has as a main purpose the approach of two prevention alternatives for the cumulative traumas on the back of office workers. Both alternatives have a posture control device and a workstation of the model “stand-up Office”. For the fulfillment of the objective, the quantitative, qualitative, analytical and inductive method has been used in the investigation. As part of the research development, it has been made an anthropometric measurement of the users and the perception of their workstations. Similarly, it has been analyzed the current work places, the environmental factors of the offices, and it has been applied the REBA method for the dysergonomic risk analysis. The main results include the registration of anthropometric measurements of a sample of 30 men and 36 women, the predisposition of 89.8% of the respondents to use the Safeback device and, after having analyzed the workstations of the service financial company using the REBA method, it was determined that corrective action is required. With the collected data, it has been designed a workplace that allows the user do his daily activities, alternating between sitting and standing, and considering the anthropometric dimensions. In the same way, a “SafeBack” posture control device has been designed, it instructs the user to keep a proper posture in any position. Both alternatives are complementary, they must be applied simultaneously to achieve the optimal reduction of the worker’s dysergonomic risk. It is important to mention that this research work has as an intrinsic objective the cumulative trauma awareness and its relationship with the health of the office workers, as well as promoting research in occupational research fields, ergonomics and postural hygiene in companies.
