Objective: The objective of this research was to determine the most frequent behavior in the face of dental pain and its relationship with the socioeconomic - cultural level of the inhabitants of the district of San Jerónimo - Cusco 2017. Material and methods: The present work is of descriptive level, of quantitative, prospective, transversal, observational, field and correlational type; the population was constituted by adults over 18 years of age of the district of San Jerónimo of the province of Cusco that according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics of Peru for the aforementioned district in 2015 was of 47101 inhabitants. A representative sample was taken by means of the sample size formula for finite populations with the minimum sample being 381 to 95% confidence, a total of 400 was taken, maximizing the sample according to the selection criteria, the technique used was the survey of individual type to each resident, who agreed to be part of the investigation by signing the informed consent, the questionnaire was asked, the instrument was validated by expert judgment, this research was self-financed, for the relationship between the variables of conduct before Dental pain and cultural socioeconomic status was used Chi-square statistical test (p <0.05). Results: It was observed that those who had a low and medium socio-cultural level in a greater percentage were self-medicated pharmacologically (66.7%, 34.0% respectively), medium-high level attended a greater percentage to the dentist (73%). This association according to the Chi-square test was significant (p <0.05). Conclusions: it was found that there is a relationship between dental pain behavior and socio-economic cultural level, rejecting the null hypothesis
