The waiting time in queues due to bulk product appraisal processes creates discomfort and stress for buyers. Which leads to affecting loyalty towards the company. Although models have been developed to optimize the detection of packaged products, this requires even more research in the field of bulk products. Therefore, the following research proposes a mechatronic system that measures the weight and classifies the product on the weighing platform by computer vision. The product’s label, weight, and price will be visualized on a monitor, which includes an interface that recommends additional products according to the client’s preference. This research consists of three stages: the design and construction of a mechanic-electrical balance composed principally by a single point load cell; the development of a computer vision system based on convolutional neural networks and two cameras located strategically; and the development of an algorithm that recommends products according to the user’s preferences. The operation of the system was validated experientially using 10 products between fruits and vegetables to evaluate the operation of the computer vision system and the decisions made in the construction of the structure. Standard weights were used for the balance calibration tests. In addition, the recommendation system was validated through the use of a database designed for the development of this research.
