Natural disasters can cause much damage to the people of remote areas if no monitoring system alarms people. Some institutions study and monitor the impact of hydrometeorological parameters, such as rain intensity using rain gauges, in subsequent disasters. However, the transmission of rainfall parameters in remote study areas is not designed to work with mobile, satellite, or Bluetooth networks. It is due to this reason that this research work shows the development of a transmission system based on LoRa focused on the HOBO RG3 rain gauge in remote areas, which collects data from the rain gauge and sends it through the system to the cloud, where it is possible to review rain measurements as public information. This system uses low power consumption techniques and consists of 1 mote and 4 routers, each built with a 32-bit microcontroller, an acquisition interface and a radio frequency transceiver, and a gateway based on an ESP32 microcontroller.
