Axial fans are used in the work in an underground mine to reduce or eliminate physical and chemical hazards to which workers are exposed. One of the most important refers to poor ventilation and this represents 13% of fatal accidents that occur within underground mining activities respectively [1]. For this reason, this research focuses on optimizing the air flow supplied by the secondary axial fan HTP-63-2T-10 of the Sodeca brand, the analysis using the XFoil software will be used to validate three types of NACA profile, these being 0012, 2412 and 4412 after their validation were simulated in the ANSYS Fluent software to obtain the optimized volumetric flow, achieving an increase of 19.11% by modifying the geometry of the blade to NACA 4412 with an angle of attack of 11°.
