OBJECTIVE: was to determine the impact of an educational intervention on the knowledge about anemia prevention in mothers of children under 05 years old, Huaro Health Post - Cusco 2023. Methodology: it was quantitative and had an explanatory scope of quasi-experimental and longitudinal design; the sample included 130 mothers of children under 05 years of age from the Huaro Health Post, who met the inclusion criteria, the technique used was a survey and a questionnaire was used as an instrument that was applied before and after the educational intervention. RESULTS: 43.8% of the mothers were between 31 and 40 years of age, 67.7% were cohabiting, 40.8% had two children, 58.5% had secondary education, 50.0% were housewives, 70.0% spoke Quechua and Spanish, 76.2% earned less than or equal to 1000 soles. Regarding the mothers' level of knowledge, in the pre-test 7.7% had a good level of knowledge and 73.1% had poor knowledge; in the post-test 70.0% had a good level of knowledge and 1.5% had poor knowledge, showing an improvement of 62.3%. The positive impact of the educational intervention on mothers' knowledge of anemia prevention was found through Student's t-test, showing a statistically significant difference in means (t=-25.425 and p= 0.000) in the pre-test and post-test, concluding that the educational intervention had a positive impact on mothers' knowledge of anemia prevention in children under 5 years of age.
