This investigation presents a quantitative study with non-experimental design, descriptive-correlational about the level of anxiety and addiction to social networks in students of regular course of the Psychology Career in a private university in Lima Metropolitana. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the relationship between the level of anxiety and addiction to social networks. Also, find out if exist a significant relationship between the level of anxiety and the three dimensions of addiction to social networks (Lack of personal control in the use of social networks, social media obsession and excessive use of social networks). Zung self-rating anxiety scale and the social network addiction questionnaire (ARS) were applied to 239 university students from Women’s University of the Sacred Heart (UNIFE). The results indicate that 59.4% not present anxiety and 48.1% have an average level of addiction to social networks; however relationship between the level anxiety and addiction to social networks were found, the latter with their respective dimensions.
