Abstract: Las relaciones interpersonales entre el maestro y los estudiantes, e incluso entre los mismos estudiantes, son parte del proceso de enseñanza, aprendizaje y socialización, que implica que el docente debe desarrollar una comunicación permanente con sus alumnos, sobre la base de sus habilidades, empatía, inteligencia emocional, involucrando a sus alumnos en un entorno de confianza y seguridad y por ende en una mejora sustantiva del aprendizaje. Un factor importante que contribuye a la efectividad de la enseñanza, es la habilidad interpersonal del maestro para crear contextos que influyan de manera positiva en un buen clima institucional y en el mismo comportamiento de los alumnos. Al ser el maestro el diseñador de la situación o experiencia de aprendizaje, importa mucho su jerarquía de valores, creencias, teorías y habilidades intrapersonales e interpersonales, puesto que regulan su planificación, estrategia instruccional, acompañamiento y toma de decisiones.
