This research addressed the impact of mining on the quality of life of the inhabitants of Cerro de Pasco, as well as the disorderly growth of the city and the lack of efficient housing that meets the needs of the population. The city of Cerro de Pasco is considerably affected due to its open pit extractive system. Situation that has generated harmful consequences on the health of the population, due to the high levels of heavy metals in the blood, the deterioration of the infrastructure in the city due to the constant explosions and damage to the environment by tailings and other waste pollutants. The main objective of the investigation is to provide a solution to Law No. 29293, which proposes to achieve concerted sustainable urban development and the relocation of the city of Cerro de Pasco. The result proposes the relocation of nearly 800 highly vulnerable inhabitants from the city of Cerro de Pasco to the populated center of Ninacaca; in a first pilot stage, through the development of an urban habilitation and the architectural proposal of housing complexes, a proposal framed in the principles of the New Urban Agenda adopted in HABITAT III.
