The work conditions of psychosocial character have been analyzed associated to burnout between teachers in a private university. A non experimental design, of a correlational type has been used. The sample was a 143 university teachers, both genders, between the ages of 25 to 65 years old from the Human Science and Education, Health Science, Theology, Engineer and Architecture and Entrepreneurial Science Schools. Those teachers were currently teaching the academic cycle 2011-II with a labor relationship of employee, missionary and both part/full time contracted. The instruments used were the Study of work conditions of psychosocial character “CTCPS-MAC“ of Mᵃ Angeles Carrion and the Maslash Burnout Inventory (MBI), created by Maslash and Jackson. The results show that a significative correlation between the perception about the work conditions of psychosocial character and burnout between teachers in a private university, exist. The CTCPS study instrument, reports that the results in their four evaluated dimensions: working context, working content, individual factors and psychic wear obtained an average of 88.31 % under both regular and nocives conditions. The prevalence of Burnout found was 46.6 % of teachers showing emocional exhaustion, a 42.7 % showed despersonalization and 97.9 % lack of personal achievement. Finally, regarding the dimensions about work conditions of psychosocial character, it is been reported that work context is a negative predictor of the emotional exhaustion with a β = 0,11. (t = -3.33; p = ,001) and the psychic wear is a positive predictor of the emotional exhaustion dimension, with a β = 0,009 (t= 7,73; p = 0,000).
