This research aims to establish the difference between groups of adolescents physical abused and not-abused, for their tendency to develop disocial conduct disorder. The study was carried out in state-run schools in Lima and state-run shelters in the same city. The sample consisted of 66 adolescents men and women, 13 to 16 years, divided into 3 groups: A group of 24 teenagers which had suffered physical abuse and were housed because of this fact for more than four years, a group of 22 teenagers which had suffered or suffer physical abuse but had not been housed and a group of 20 adolescents who had not suffered physical abuse and were living with their families. In not-housed groups was applied the Questionnaire of Violent Experiences for Children in order to detemine whether they had suffered from physical abuse and the extent and characteristics of it. In the adolescent housed group, the selection was performed according to the reports given by psychologists of the respective centers. Following the selection of the groups was applied Millon´s Adolescent Clinical Inventory-(MACI) and comparisons were made in the areas of personality types Rebel, Rude, Egocentric, as well as the concerns of Social Insensitivity, and clinical syndromes Tendency Impulsivity and Tendency to Crime. Finally, was applied to 9 teens the Object Relations Test and an interview about their personal history in order to further their development processes. The results indicated that none of the evaluated areas show a significant difference between the groups, and it's possible to find in all the groups (regardless of the presence of physical abuse and institutionalization ) adolescents with antisocial tendency. The qualitative results suggest that the disorder is more related to the lack of empathy and the ability to contain of parents and family, over than exclusive presence of physical abuse.
